Is there a way to set up gentoo to be identical to FreeNas.

Well I guess when you think about it, FreeNAS is just a fancy interface to BSD and SAMBA etc. So what I recommend is that you start shelling into the freenas box and poking and prodding to see how things are put together. I would think that the system is PHP based so just start reading through the webui to see how things work and then when you know you can graft that into gentoo with a bit of apache and php magic. Just an idea. Best of luck, be sure to tell me what you find _________________ Trust is a weakness |
