How to get installed font names.
I need to know full name

You can use xfontsel (emerge x11-apps/xfontsel) which allows you to select the foundry, family, weight &c. or you can look in the directory which holds the font you are interested in and find the name in fonts.scale.
I don't think you are going to be able to go from a description like "sans-serif:Medium" to "-*-times-medium-r-*-*-16-*-*-*-*-*-*-*" though. A description like medium (not bold) sans-serif matches several fonts like Helvetica, Arial and DejaVu Sans (not, however, Times, which is a serif font). _________________ The avatar is jorma, a "duck" from "Elephants Dream": the film and all the production materials have been made available under a Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 License, see orange.blender.org for details. |
