|
I did an emerge -u world last night (for the last time until I know what I'm doing!) , and now kde is gone. startx doesn't work either.
I can't find any sign of my kde files. It was working fine yesterday.
emerge -p kde gives:
Code: |
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild U ] kde-base/kdelibs-3.1.1a [3.1.1-r1]
[ebuild U ] kde-base/kdegraphics-3.1.1a-r1 [3.1.1]
[ebuild U ] kde-base/kdebase-3.1.1a [3.1.1-r1]
[ebuild U ] kde-base/kde-3.1.1a [3.1.1]

emerge kde gives these errors:
Code: |
...

>>> emerge (1 of 4) kde-base/kdelibs-3.1.1a to /
>>> md5 ;-) kdelibs-3.1.1.tar.bz2

And emerge qt gives:

If you believe this message is in error you may use the continue

It also acts like xfree isn't installed, either
Why isn't portage figuring the correct dependencies? Where the H*ll did everything go?
And... does anyone know how to Unfsck my installation?
(edit)
I forgot to mention that running:
Acts like everything is already installed and no packages need to be updated. _________________ It's an insulin crystal (in case you were wondering) |
