Is it Possible to write dvd's with different file system.
I'm about to write my mp3 collection on dvd's
I don't need them compitable with windows (only linux).
So i'm thinking what fs could i use to store them.
Average file size 7MB (3-10MB)
I Want to optimize dvd's for speed, so if i wan't to copy files from dvd it would happen fast. |

I'm not sure how you would go about using a non-standard filesystem for a dvd.
It should be possible, but I do know that it would be pointless. There filesystem is not going to be the bottleneck on such a slow media, especially since all you are doing is reading.
Choice of filesystem is pretty much only relevant when you are re-writing frequently, or if you need compression (like squashfs), which of course does't apply to mp3s. _________________ "Mr Thomas Edison has been up on the two previous nights discovering 'a bug' in his phonograph." --Pall Mall Gazette (1889)

And changing the filesystem isn't going to help you. If you need more speed, get a faster DVD reader... _________________ "Mr Thomas Edison has been up on the two previous nights discovering 'a bug' in his phonograph." --Pall Mall Gazette (1889)
