At one point everything was working OK. And then it stoped - litteraly.
I tried to open up a file that I just downloaded with Opera (it's an .xls so oocalc2 should have been started).
It didn't start. Then I closed up Opera and tried to open terminal (Eterm/Xterm) and it wouldn't start.
Tougth that restart would solve the problems ... but qingy (login manager) didn't started and I ended up with colsole login (I'm writing this from 'links -g').
During boot it gives an error like:
qingy: load_settings: fatal error: cannot access temp files directory (/var/lib/mics) no such file or directory.
Inside /var/lib/ there is only init.d directory.
It also appers that /tmp and /var/tmp (which I tought are temp directories) were missing.
How do I figure out what happend? Can I fix it?
I recreated /tmp and /var/tmp directories and set premissions with chmod 1777 (is that ok?)
But of course it doesnt work ... |
