Has anybody been able to get Patrol from BMC Software installed and working correctly on Gentoo Linux? Our guy hasn't been able to get it to work and it is required for our company. Any help / tips would be greatly appreciated for people who have gotten this to work. |

Hi,
i am an employee of BMC Software and i can tell you that it won't install and it wont run. Patrol for Linux Enterprise Servers is damn OLD and has been superceeded by BMC Performance Manager (the new name of Patrol) for Servers. But even with the new version only
Red Hat and SuSE are supported. You might want to give it a try though but again don't call us _________________ greetings

We tried a bunch of things to get it to run with no luck, Patrol that is. Never know when someone has a crazy hack that works. |
