Yes
I am using this card (I don't remember if it's really v3). No need for ndiswrapper, it works perfectly with wpa_supplicant and madwifi. |

The WG311 will work under madwifi, the v2 and the v3 won't. The v3 works under linux using ndisrapper. |

Yes, I've had it working under gentoo in a mythbox.
Not particularily reliable, frequently crashed and had to be restarted.
I found the marvel drivers to be the best. But others have reported sucess with the drivers form netgears website or off the CD.
Some versions of ndiswrapper work better than others. |

OK, I can still return this card, it is in an unbroken package. Does
anyone have a good recommendation of a card with very good track record
in Gentoo. Preferably from a well-known brand so I can find it in a
electronics store here in Sweden. |

You are after a ralink or atheros chipset. Which use the rt2x00 and madwifi drivers respectively.
but beware that you may not know the chipset till you know the revision and run lspci.
e.g. the WG311V3 does not work nativ[/url]ely under linux, however the version one has the atheros chipset and does.
