Dears,
I use gnome with i810 on my laptop and resolution 1024x768. I also have external monitor with 1280x1024.
In the gnome screen resolution I can switch to 640x480 or 800x600 or 1024x768. But can't to 1280x1024.
In xorg.conf I added 1280x1024 for all depths.
Help to set up switching to 1280x1024.
