I just freshly compiled GNOME. When I start it I get this error.

GNOME will still try to restart the Settings Daemon next time you log in. |
Any ideals would be great.

| Do you have dbus running? /etc/init.d/dbus status |

| Can you run it from the console with verbose/debug output and see if it actually prints out on console? |

| I upgraded Dbus to the latest masked version and it solved all my Gnome+Dbus probs. |
