In "the good old days", regular users could be prevented from shutting down the system (very useful against kids playing games on my webserver) by a simple login manager setting. After upgrading to 3.5.5, KDE doesn't do anything with this setting anymore. Anyone know what's wrong? Is it a KDE problem or could there be some gentoo-related upgrade issues? |

in my kde all works fine,
the one thing I can actually think of is that your users belong to some group, that have a possibility to reboot, or they have rights to reboot themselves
i would make reboot and shutdown/halt apps accesible only for root and play with /etc/sudoers file
