|
|
Hello! We are doing a little Gentoo-session here and my PC is the only one, where I cant start the distccd. Here's the output with --log-level debug:
Quote: | nebuchadnezzar log # /etc/init.d/distccd start
* Starting distccd ...
distccd[5274] (dcc_should_be_inetd) stdin is a tty; assuming --daemon mode
distccd[5274] (dcc_discard_root) discarded root privileges, changed to uid=240 gid=2 [ !! ]
nebuchadnezzar log # |
/etc/conf.d/distccd is fine and the user/group exist and ahould work (I removed the user manually and let portage recreate it so it has to be correct)
Any Ideas? |

Did you set up your configuration file correctly? _________________ Please add [solved] to the initial post's subject line if you feel your problem is resolved. Help answer the unanswered

Nope, nothing in /var/log that has to do with the error or gives me any information.
The config-file looks ok, worked some time ago when we had a session once and looks good compared to the configs of other PCs here, where it works. |

Update: Got it working by starting it directly and not with the init-script. |
