referring to error:
Code: | Nov 1 01:11:30 nix-mobile dhclient: Please make sure there is no other dhcp server
Nov 1 01:11:30 nix-mobile dhclient: running and that there's no entry for dhcp or
Nov 1 01:11:30 nix-mobile dhclient: bootp in /etc/inetd.conf. Also make sure you
Nov 1 01:11:30 nix-mobile dhclient: are not running HP JetAdmin software, which
Nov 1 01:11:30 nix-mobile dhclient: includes a bootp server.
Nov 1 01:11:30 nix-mobile dhclient: exiting.
Nov 1 01:11:30 nix-mobile dhcdbd: Unrequested down ?:3 |
I understand the problem is stopping net.eth0 from running a dhcp client on boot. When I stop it manually after boot and restart NetworkManager, works perfectly. Easy?
Code: | rc-update del net.eth0 | doesn't work no more? what is the new syntax? |

Code: |
rm /etc/init.d/net.eth0
|
(it's a symlink to net.lo) |
