The way I have my server set up, SAMBA clients can create files in one particular directory (the "drop box", much like that of OS X users). Unfortunately, the Samba daemon appears to run as "nobody" with group "nobody" on Linux. Is there any easy to change the daemon so that it runs as a different user (or, preferably, group), or perhaps to have it create files as a particular user/group? Thanks in advance... _________________ Registered Linux User #263260 |
