Hello. I have i small problem. In my gentoo system everything works fine, except one thing. When i download something from other computers in the LAN speed is only 1.5 Mb/s or less. Is there any limiters in gentoo by default which i could disable?

Describe your lan topology and equipment used on the lan plus the two systems involved in the transfer.
What protocol are you using ?

@tr3mble: what's the interface speed on both ends? try using ethtool and see - if it defaults to 10M/s check your cables, and try autoneg again to see whether it catches gigE or 100M/s. Also more details would help.

Well i tried to do the same task in windows , and it seems that everything works fine (it downloads about 6 Mb/s), also i tried to put in another ethernet card but still occured the same problem.
My network card is

So yes, we need the basic info - which protocol are you using? 6MB/s looks a bit low to me -perhaps you are being limited by the disk/MB speed.
If you are using nfs to copy over - make sure you have v3 enabled in both places - v1 and v2 have crazy transfrer speeds.
