Hi to all, I have just finished the base installation of Gentoo x86 on an iMac Intel.

Now I want to set up the gensplash but I have a doubt. What framebuffer driver should I use? I'm using a vanilla kernel ( 2.6.18 ) with all mactel patches applied and I noted that in the kernel there is a framebuffer driver for iMac intels.

However this driver should work only on an efi-booted machine, right? Instead I'm using Bootcamp and rEFIt to boot linux so I was thinking if it is still possible to use the iMac framebuffer or I should use the standard vesa framebuffer driver
