Has anyone tried installing it? Anyone know if other packages need to be removed first? Anyone know *anything* about it at all? I only know the stuff I've read on their website but I'm interested in trying it out. I'll do that tonight probably but I was just hoping to see if anyone else had tried it out first.

I tried it once about a week ago and the results were not good. Basically, I couldn't type anything at all. So it was unusable and I reinstalled plain old xlib. |

I'm using it right now and don't have any problems - also in the moment running gnome/beryl and xlib/mesa compiled with the xcb use flag. _________________ "I knew when an angel whispered into my ear,

Do you notice any improvement in performance? |

Hmm, as do the new hardmasked nVidia drivers, it makes X.org not work with my 1440x900 resolution. "Resolution not supported" junk. |

Well I could not say for sure, I think there is an improvement, but could very well be subjective...
I looked around and seems that for example cairo could be built with xcb-backend - this is the next thing to try, at least I don't have serious problems for now:) _________________ "I knew when an angel whispered into my ear,
