beryl && anvidia == still a white screen

Hello eveybody!

Does anyone get this "Beryl with nvidia"-Monster to run? I followed this page: http://wiki.gentoo-xeffects.org/Main_Page and installed the beta nvidia-drivers and beryl (with no aiglx or whatever). But all I can see is a white desktop after loggin into my system. I can switch the cube - indeed - but all screens are still white.

Can anyone help me, please :-)

I did have it working perfectly until I did a recent world update which gave me exactly the problem you describe!

Try to emerge nvidia-drivers again.
this fixed my white screen problem.

If you get artifacts or the mouse just disapears try to add this to your xorg.conf
in the nvidia section

Option "RenderAccel" "true"
Option "AllowGLXWithComposite" "true"
Option "backingstore" "true"
Option "TripleBuffer" "true"
Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True"

Okay, I got it!

I recompiled all again (I'm sure I did this yesterday too) and now it works!
Finally, I'm not sure which package cause the white screen, but I recompiled the following packages and switched to nvidia opengl:
emerge -1av cairo glitz pango libdrm xorg-server mesa nvidia-drivers beryl-core

finally, all works. Thanks to all for the help!
