I suspect I already know the answer (no), but is there any way to recover a partition (was NTFS under winXP) that has been accidentally formatted as ReiserFS?
Say yes and save a kitten's life - 45Gb of movies and cartoons... :o( _________________ "A new kind of stupidity" |

|

I totally pulled a no-brainer w/ a gentoo 200.1 livecd install -- accidently set the 'Format' = yes flag for a partition that I did NOT want to loose...
The partition in question was not resized or deleted, it just got formatted ( reiserfs ).
Is there anyway in hell of possibly recovering it once my instal is finished? ( nothing is being written to the partition in question, it was "merely" re-formated.
Many thanks for any and all advice/suggestions. |
