I can't run quake 3 and sof .. .when i start quake 3 everthing goes fine .. but when i start a match it dies unexpectanly ... and i don't know why.. i've installed the nvidia drivers because i've one Riva TNT 2 Ultra on the machine with gentoo linux ... :\ can anyone give me an advice?

What error messages are you getting (in console) ?

well, i just cought a signal 11 when it's about to load the textures .. :\ and i don't have a clue.. i've tried to install some image libs but still the same thing .. .

ok.. has root without window manager ( startx -e quake3 ) i can run quake very fine realy ... but when i use any window manager has root even, it dies every time that starts
