I normally run an SMTP server on a system other than my web server, but that system is down right now.
I'd like to find an SMTP server that I can install on my web server that comes as close as possible to the following:
- Easily installed and uninstalled (portage will probably take care of this)
- Not resource intensive
- Comes configured as secure as possible right away. I only need to be able to send from localhost.
- Easy for me to figure out any other configurations quickly.
I'll only need this for a week, so I don't want to invest too much time into it. I have no desire to change all of my programs to use some other method to send email.
Any suggestions? |

Postfix (emerge mail-mta/postfix). For those requirements, you can probably set it up in a few hours. _________________ Plants are pithy, brooks tend to babble--I'm content to lie between them.
Super-short f.g.o checklist: Search first, strip comments, mark solved, help others. |
