Gentoo on A30p (should include all A30's)

Can't get Alsa to work but could get sound to work in KDE/console through OSS. No scrolling with the 3rd button (trackpoint)

'emerge kde' took somewhere between 3-4 hours, I just stepped out and came back and it was done.

Grub was a bit of a pain because this is a work laptop and I wanted to keep the hidden partitions intact and on first try it wouldn't boot to Windows partition . This was because menu.lst was created after grub was run.

Gentoo detects the ethernet on install so just remember the device.
