|
|
Hello,
I've recently bought an LCD monitor to plug into my iBook G4, in clone mode. So far so good, it works. The problem is that the 1024x768 resolution of the iBook is way to small for the 17'' LCD. I would like to try other resolutions, like 1280x1024, for example, but I can't seem to make it work. I've tried fiddling with different parts of the xorg.conf, to no avail. The resolution on the iBook and on the externam monitor stays at 1024x768. Any solutions?
Here's my xorg.conf:
Code: | Section "ServerLayout"

So... no one has ever used his laptop with a larger extra screen? |

I haven't done this before, but using Option "MetaModes" "1024-768-1280x1024" should do the trick as it says in the radeon manual. The MetaModes allow you to supply the resolution for *both* devices, which should suit your needs. _________________ Gentoo PPC FAQ: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/gentoo-ppc-faq.xml |

JoseJX, you are a god around here and I thank you for that. Your solution and a 1280x1024 definition in the screen section did the trick. My eyes are saved. |
