Hi I installed Gentoo on a Dell inspiro 6400 Laptop I have a duo core 1.66 GhZ.
What would be the normal operating temperature of that CPU, In windows It stays on 40-46 but running Gentoo (No xorg no graphicals whatsover) it goes up to 56 and it stays between 49-56 I recompiled my kernel with acpi, cpu frequency and speed step support. I'm running a 2.6.18.2 kernel
Thanks |

56°C: should be in the normal operation range of the CPU. |

I'm running @ 46C with firefox, xmms, terms, stage 4 backup script running.
Conrad's 2.6.18-no2 sources got the ole ACPI and suspend working properly, including cpu throttling, buttons.
For my info, which internal wlan card do you have and have you gotten it up and running? I'm battling the bcm43xx blues with the Broadcom 1390. |
