|
|
The old machine with redhat 7.0 and yarec broke.
What I need:
- The ability to configure the recording app to come up with the same settings every time.
- The ability to start the application with a save file name (tagged with ISO date/time rounded to the nearest half hour.
Before I had a script which started yarec with all the proper arguments.
Unfortunately yarec has a pretty bad user interface that untrained users would sometimes screw up.
I played some with gnome sound recorder.
Gnome allowed me to make a new recording profile (too bad I had to hunt for how to do that).
But sound recorder seems to be too brain dead to take any application specific arguments.
Last time I looked this was also a problem with lots of other recording apps.
Suggestions please? |
