Salve gente, ho appena "installato" gentoo dal live 2006.1 ho emergato xorg-x11, nvidia-kernel e nvidia-glx.
Il problema èe' ke in /lib/modes/VERSION/video il modulo nvidia.ko esiste! solo che lanciando un modprobe nvidia il modulo sembra nn esistere!
stessa cosa lanciando xorg... queso mi dice che il modulo nn esiste!
Ke devo fare? :\

Questa è la guida da seguire, ora per installare i driver nvidia devi emergere il pacchetto nvidia-drivers.
Prima naturalmente devi procedere a rimuovere nvidia-kernel e nvidia-glx

Ora peròo' devo syncare xke' in prtage nn esiste il pacchetto nvidia-drivers...

Ecco quì, ho syncato e aggiornato portage... ho provato a emergare nvidia-drivers e ho questo errore:
The C compiler ììà 'x84_64-pcux-gnu-gc does not appear to be able to create executables. Please make sure you have your linux distribution's libc development package installed and that 'x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc' is a valic C compiler name.
Qualche idea? :\

ma xche' riemergere tutto?
secondo me devi solo controllare che gcc usi...
poi riconpilare il kernel con lo stesso gcc che usi per conpilare nvidia-drivers.
Puoi usare gcc-4.1 e' stabile! |

Presumo che anche questo problema nasca dal fatto che hai usato un livecd x86 invece che amd64, giusto ?

Thread chiuso poiche' duplicato di nvidia-drivers!!!
Vedi di prestare attenzione Starinthe, perche' hai installato a caso, non hai seguito la doc hai aperto 3 threads identici nel forum (1 internazionale nel forum multimedia e 2 qui nel forum italiano)
