Hell everyone,
I'm having this problem after a fresh install of gentoo-2006.1 (earlier i's using gentoo-2006.0). Whenever i try to connect to any network (yahoo or jabber), a msg pops up saying "connection refused". Running from console and tring to connect gives this error message,
Code:

QMetaObject::findSignal:ClientStream: Conflict with Stream::readyRead()
QObject::disconnect: No such signal Client::gotBuddyIconRequest(const QString&)

I'm sure that this is not a network related problem, as i've checked using netstat that kopete doesn't even try to connect. It shows the connection refused message in a flash.

some additional informations,
Code:

# emerge -pv kopete

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild   R   ] kde-base/kopete-3.5.5-r2  USE="ssl winpopup yahoo -addbookmarks -alias -arts -autoreplace -connectionstatus -contactnotes -crypt -debug -gadu -groupwise -highlight -history -irc -jingle -kdeenablefinal -kdehiddenvisibility -latex -netmeeting -nowlistening -sametime -slp -sms -statistics -texteffect -translator -webpresence -xinerama -xscreensaver" 0 kB

Code:

I'm having the same problem. If I try to connect my msn account I get an error saying "Connection Actively Refused". If I connect via port 80 I can get online but I lose connection every minute. If I try my Jabber account using the default port of 5222 it just takes forever to connect and after a long time gives error "There was a connection error: Operation is not supported.".

Also, in my Windows system if I'm connecting to CS:S or Dod in Steam I can't update my server list. These problems both started happening the same night after we overloaded a fuse here at my apartment. My roomate insists he hasn't played with the iptables settings on our router. I have yet to check the settings. Also when I do nmap scans on me or our router or any host including myself there is no response to nmap -Ss to port 1863 which is MSN's default port. Neither of my roomates are reporting any problems.

Any ideas? I'm not running any FW btw.
