Whenever I try to do anything to my iptables setup in Webmin, it kills all of my rules. Everything seems to go fine until I hit the "apply rules" button. Then, the browser window times out, and my connection goes dead. (webmin is running on my server, and I am accessing it from my laptop. The server does NAT for my lan) The only way to get it back is to kill iptables, get my backup copy of rules-save, and then restart iptables. I have the latest version of webmin, and just did a module upgrade. (nothing for iptables in it) Any clues?

I have almost the same problem. if I have already a running iptables, and I make a change in webmin-iptables and then do "apply" , every rules will be cleaned up, every connection will be accepted :( . This webmin-iptables is not really a good security software .

I found that it works if you switch from the "edit before you use it" feature to the "edit realtime" feature. I forget what it is called, but it is on the main page for iptables. Sucks I can't edit then apply changes, though.
