I love amarok but I find strange that I can't play a media file from a network shared folder (without mount it) like kaffeine or other..
I would know if it is a personal problem, a program limitation or a bug (i have amarok 1.4.4).
What do you think?
I haven't debug flag ( ) and my amarok crashes when I try to open a shared file. |

This might be a current bug. I know someone who said they used to do this all the time and with recent updates he also lost this functionality.
Unfortunately I can't tell you more whether it is amarok itself, or samba, or something else. |

I don't want to mount an already visible share partition. If I understand this depends from xine engine.
What a pity.. |
