Would a SHARP PC-UM32W Laptop be compatible with Gentoo; it has a 1ghz pentium III processor, 256 ram (which will probably be upgraded soon), 48mb video, 40GB Hdd
If it is possible to install gentoo then how would I partition the current HDD with windows on it just like resizing it...??? _________________ Gentoo-Noob |

i have a mm20 and gentoo works fine on it. though i have have no clue abt um32
to make dual boot, here is wut i did
defrag windows partition
disable recover_mode
use partition magic to resize windows partition to "least" required
then use the gentoo docs.
since it is 1Ghz, i would recommend reading up on the distcc also!
