Hi all, im a bit stuck on something. Basically im trying to configure cron so that when i reboot my system it will print e.g "Hello World". anyone able to help me out here? any responses appreciated. _________________ "...the sky's not the limit" |

You want to print "hello world" on reboot, then you need to tweak /etc/conf.d/local.start. Look into the command wall (man wall).
Cron is used to run certain programs repeatedly at specified times and not while rebooting system, etc (which can happen at any time or which may not happen at all for a long time, depending on your usage ). |
