Does anyone know if this exists (must work with linux of course:) )? I'm about to go on a 6 month contract and would really love to just use my laptop as my tv and ps2 monitor. I have an older pci wintv card and am looking for something like this for my Dell Inspiron 8200.

Thanks for any pointers.

Chris

Thanks again.

I've been keep my eyes on the WinTV pvr USB. It does MPEG2 encoding which makes up for the low USB bandwidth, but AFAIK there are no Linux drivers yet. :(.

Do you have the UltraSharp display on that 8200?

okay, a usb tv card that works on linux is kinda hard to find.
I saw many ppl that complain about usb 1.1 low speed and lack of usb 2.0 tv card...
I finally found a support for Pinnacle Bungee and Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB, throught the drivers don t seems up to date and still don t have a tuner....

Code:

http://pvrusb.sourceforge.net/

I'll keep on searching.
