Hi

Can someone please tell me how to get hdparm to automatically run at startup so I have ultra DMA turned on?

Many thanks,

If you installed sys-apps/hdparm, you should have a /etc/init.d/hdparm which is automatically included in runlevel boot (look at /etc/runlevels/boot) as far as I remember. If not you can add it with

Code:
rc-update add hdparm boot

Change your settings in /etc/conf.d/hdparm
