I was following a guide on how to convert truetype fonts so that they can be used in pdflatex, and the guide uses /usr/bin/ttf2tfm. That used to be in media-libs/freetype (version 1), but seems to have disappeared from media-libs/freetype-2. Has ttf2tfm been superceded by something else? I tried to find ttf2tfm with equery, but I cannot find it. |

Freetype is slotted, so you could just install both versions at the same time. Otherwise, ttf2pt1 should be able to get an AFM file from the Truetype font, then you can use afm2tfm (installed with TeTeX) to convert that to TFM. |

Thanks, I'll have a look at that!
