CRAM-MD5 gives wrong result

Since the last update (about 1 week ago) the following problem occurs:

In qmail-smtpd the SMTP AUTH with CRAM-MD5 does not work anymore.
SMTP AUTH with LOGIN or PLAIN works fine.

I found out, that the CRAM-MD5 digest is calculated wrong, so it can never match with the digest send by the remote email-client.

This problem only occurs on my AMD-64 machine, but not on a PIII machine.
The problem hasn't been there, when I installed the machine (about 4 weeks ago, all packages up-to-date), but it's there since the last update.

Please help.

I would check to see if there has been a bug filed about this.
