After last upgrade, I lost my wireless communications!

In fact, ndiswrapper -i rt2500usb.inf followed by ndiswrapper -l
reports "Invalid driver"!!!

I needed to go back to 1.26.
This works fine.

Shall I file a bug? Gentoo? Where?

Thanks for any answer/comment.

Why not use a native driver: http://www.ralinktech.com/drivers/Linux/RT25USB-SRC-V2.0.8.0.tar.gz

Because my chipset is 2500 not 257x.
That driver completely freezes my computer.
Drivers in the portage tree work but break my conection
too frequently.

This page:
http://www.ralinktech.com/supp-1.htm
where I took the previous link, says:
11g-RT2500
Maybe it came after you tried it.

That's where I downloaded it from.
It generates a 257x module (can't remember x - perhaps 5).
It freezes my PC.
I read somewhere it is for kernel 2.6.9 and I am using 2.6.17.13.
May be this is the reason for the problem.
Thanks anyway.

I saw in the ndiswrapper mailing list that there is a problem with
the install process of ndiswrapper for 1.28 and 1.29. Apparently
the .sys file is not copied to the /etc/ndiswrapper subdirectory.
Doing it manually fixes the problem.

In the meanwhile, I'll keep 1.26 that is working fine.

Regards.
