Im just making this post for anyone who had trouble with the ati drivers ebuild, didnt work for me, so if anyone else has the same problem, just do the following.
Code: | wget http://phil0d0x.com/ati.run
su-
sh ati.run
|
Tun through the windows with your keyboard.
NOTE: X must not be running.
Then run (for this stae to work you must have an xorg.conf, run "xorgconfig" to generate one)
Code: | su-
aticonfig --initial --input=/etc/X11/xorg.conf
|
Reboot, then to test it works:
(from x) Code: | glxgears --printfps
|
If its all decent (running smoothly) chances are its worked. |

Be carefull with this as ATI dropped support for a lot
of cards in their newer drivers.
For those unfortunate folks you need to refer to
bugzilla and look for ati-drivers and here on the forums.
