gentoo hardened-sources missing framebuffer supprt?

Hi everyone,

i have justed compiled the gentoo hardened-sources. After a little bit of fiddling with chpax everything works fine. But one difference I have recognized is the missing framebuffer support or did overlooked something within the kernel config?

Yes, the hardened sources is not patched with vesafb-tng, you have to do it yourself. Unfortunatly, there doesn't seem to be any patches available for 2.6.17, so if you want to run a hardened kernel and use vesafb-tng, you'll have to stick with 2.6.16.

Though, you could always mail the author and ask for patches to 2.6.17.
