Hello

Recently i am having a slow connection to my samba folder while trying to open/ copy a file.

I have a server with an external raid drive, my samba folder is located on this drive

I restarted my samba 3.0.22 service no changes...

What is happened.

Thank you

You might want to look at your hdparm setting. I know it sounds like nothing do with it, but I had a problem before where my network transfers would go slow.

I am always gettig the same problem...
I realized that this problems happens after one week or 10 days of activities:

if i restart a server, everything goes well, the access to my samba folder is great and the transfer rate is very high..

however after one week of activity or more (10 days) the transfer rate goes down in a crazy way.... I tried to restart my samab service, no success...

My system is working normaly and no process taking the system down...
I found many similar topic but without a solution for my case

Please if you have any clue let me know

Thank you
