Has anyone successfully mounted a winXP NTFS partition from dual boot winXp/gentoo system? (for access to mp3's etc?) Every post I've found is incomprehensive... _________________

Yes, you may mount it readonly. You must either compile NTFS support in or as a module (Filesystem support); you may then simply mount the directory as you see fit. Mine's under /windows. |

mine is under /windows aswell, this is my fstab:
Code: | /dev/hda5 / ext3 noatime 0 0
/dev/hda6 none swap sw 0 0
/dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,ro 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
/dev/hda1 /windows ntfs auto,ro,umask=1000 0 0
|
It's a bit jumbled up because of console defaults and me being lazy |
