I have no idea.
But since no one replied and you already left the category of ansanswered posts, I can tell you what I'do...
I wouldn't try to focus much in the exact linker error, but the point is that something is not linking. So I would re-emerge (oneshot) gtk2. Make sure you your USE gtk2 flag set, and run a revdep-rebuild. Maybe even run a dep (edcatmur dep utility from portage) to check the sanity of your packages.
Sorry, I said, I don't have a clue just throwing something to think about. |

I just did a Code: | $ equery b libwx_gtk2u_core-2.6.so.0
[ Searching for file(s) libwx_gtk2u_core-2.6.so.0 in *... ]
x11-libs/wxGTK-2.6.2-r1 (/usr/lib/libwx_gtk2u_core-2.6.so.0 -> libwx_gtk2u_core-2.6.so.0.2.0) |
wxGTK is one of the dependencies of Audacity, so I would also try re-emerging it.
HTH,

Also, there's this from their forums: kev-in wrote: | Subject: can't run audacity libwx_gtk_xrc-2.6.so.0
-----
i built and audacity 1.3 from source without too much trouble. but when i try to run audacity 1.3 i get the following error:
audacity: error while loading shared libraries: libwx_gtk_xrc-2.6.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
i built wxGTK-2.6.2 from source as well. it build and installed, but i'm not very familiar with wx, so who knows. also installed all the dep packages for libwx gtk that i could find.
i'm using debian unstable. gcc-3.3.
any help would be appreciated. |

To fix this, add /usr/local/lib to your LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable. I recommend putting this in your .login, .cshrc or .bashrc file so it always gets run. |
