Who says you should enable it?
Nvidia has its own DRI interface, and does not need the linux DRI extension at all. That does not mean nvidia does not do direct rendering, it has a direct rendering interface, but its own, the xorg dri interface is not used nor needed, though usually it does not harm either to have it installed.
So, all the dri related stuff in your xorg.conf is not needed when you use Driver "nvidia"
EDIT, that does not mean you cant use DRI with an nvidia card. I am not sure, but it might be possible using the "nv" driver, of course, performance will really suck. |
