Right now, I am in the process of configuring fluxbox.
However, now I have seen some screenshots of having a terminal (like Eterm) running like it is part of the desktop background. This is transparency correct??

How can I do this??

Thanks

I don't run eterm currently, but as I recall, there were command line switches (man Eterm) that would do it. I've also used the ~/.Xdefaults file to set up things like that if I didn't want to monkey with the command line switches. Man pages are your friend, as is google.
