A real frustrating problem with Xorg

Last night i just upgraded dbus, and since then my Xorg doesn't start. I am at work right now, so i can't give the excerpt of the Xorg.0.log file but the error it shows is similar to the following.

Cannot load "type1.so" <---- type1 extension cannot be loaded
because some function like "RegisterType1FontFile" cannot be located.

FATAL SERVER ERROR:
Cannot load the default font "fixed"
--------------------------

These are basically the two error messages that are displayed just before Xorg stops.

Any idea how to fix this, i have even tried to re-emerge all the font packages but still to no avail. I have also upgraded my Xorg, still not working. And more importantly, i cant relate how upgrading dbus can create this problem !!!

Just downgrade to what you had before.
