I have a pretty small root part and im really afraid it gets filled up while installing. portage seems to refuse having /tmp as a symlink to /var/tmp... Is it really impossible to achieve? thx... _________________ Free as in FreeParty !! |

If you are able to have a larger partition, you can mount other drives and use them as a /usr of /var. |

You can also change PORTAGE_TMPDIR in /etc/make.conf to some other directory on the tree. |
