I got the following error trying to download/emerge both the vanilla sources and the gentoo sources:

emerge gentoo-sources failed on MD5 verification

I would like to re emerge those packages but it's not letting me simply use emerge gentoo-sources. (It gives the same error but does not download)

What should I do from here?

Run "emerge --sync" to make sure that your portage tree is up to date. Remove the kernel source tarballs from /usr/portage/distfiles, comment out any mirrors you have defined in /etc/make.conf, and then try emerging them again. That should force portage to download the sources from the main Gentoo mirror. If you still get the error, then there is most likely something else wrong with the system or the portage tree.
