I have a dell notebook with an ipw3945 wifi card and am unable to connect to my network. I've gotten to the point where I can see a device eth1 with iwconfig, but when I try to restart net.eth1, I get this:

* Configuring wireless network for eth1
* Failed to configure wireless for eth1 [ !! ]

And I see this in /var/log/messages:

Dec 11 17:15:27 localhost ipw3945: Error sending LEDS_CMD: time out after 500ms.

I have the ieee80211_crypt_wep, ipw3945, and arc4 modules loaded.
