Hi

When the windows-clients is trying to connect to my printserver they get a message saying that the installed printdriver on the server is incorrect.
I can't figure out which printdriver I need to use and where to put it??
I'm using CUPS and Samba.

From smb.conf:
Code:
printcap name = cups
printing = cups
load printers = yes
use client driver = no

[print$]
comment = Printer Drivers
available = yes
path = /etc/samba/printer
browseable = yes
read only = yes
write list = root

[HPPSC950]
comment = HP PSC 950 Network Printer
printable = yes
path = /var/spool/samba
public = yes

[printers]
comment = All Printers
available = yes
browseable = no
printable = yes
writable = no
public = yes
path = /var/spool/samba

Any help will be appreciated :)

Best regards

Perhaps not really a solution, but I would recommend skipping the samba part and printing directly to cups via an ipp:// url. Search around the forums/web for cups and windows, as I recall the setup is where you add a network printer, but you type in an ipp://server/printers/printer_name url instead of browsing for a samba printer. I'm not in front of any of my computers right now, so I can't be more specific, but give it a shot and I'll post more details tonight.

[EDIT] I should mention that you use the "Microsoft Imagesetter" generic driver for your printer in windows.[/EDIT]
