a got a ati radeon x1600 pro and i have a lot of problems with it.....i have installed the ati drivers and follow the install guide at gentoo-wiki.org......i get it to work but not really good....when i startx or kdm i always have to try atleast 3 times berfore X starts...because the screen gets blank...and a have to press ctrl-alt-f1 to get back to the console and kill kdm or X and then try again...when i get it to run it works with fgl_glxgears but if i want to watch video it works for a while then it starts to lag as hell...it is like a have no accelerated graphics anymore....the onlything that fixes this is to reboot....anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?
