Can anybody tell me what's Gentoo root password on istallation disk, Please?
My install stops on clock problem (it is not working probably, iMac G3).
and install goes to maintenance mode and asking root password or (Cntrl-D).

However, it doesn't sound like getting to root is going to fix this problem. Are you sure you're using the appropriate install CD for you architecture?

You are right.
But the problem was solved on Mac open firmware level
Option-Apple-O-F on reboot and in mac firmware prompt
"decimal dev rtc sec min hour day month year set-time"
sets the right time.
After that back to linux install again.
But I have another problem now.
The install hangs (acctually not yet isntall, just boot)
