Hello,
I hope, this is the right forum, I'm a little confused about where to post this:
I have a problem compiling kdelibs-3.5.5-r5:
Code: |
checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.3 and < 4.0) (headers and libraries) not found. Please check your installation!
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.
!!! Please attach the following file when filing a report to bugs.gentoo.org:
!!! /var/tmp/portage/kdelibs-3.5.5-r5/work/kdelibs-3.5.5/config.log

The following qt-Versions are installed:
Code: |
* x11-libs/qt
Available versions: 3.3.4-r8:3 3.3.6-r4:3 ~3.3.6-r5:3 4.1.4-r2:4 ~4.2.1:4 ~4.2.2:4
Installed: 3.3.6-r4 4.1.4-r2
Homepage: http://www.trolltech.com/
Description: The Qt toolkit is a comprehensive C++ application development framework.

Because of the part
Code: | '--with-qt-dir=/usr/share/qt4' |
I guess, the build-system just sets the wrong path. The path /usr/qt/3/ exists and /usr/qt/3/lib is also in /etc/ld.so.conf
Does anyone have an idea how to tell the build-system to use the qt3-version?
thanks in advance,
bobman |

Hello!
Thats my first post here... and first installation of gentoo.
I gave the same problem as Bobman with qt headers and libraries while emerging kde:
Code: | checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.3 and < 4.0) (headers and libraries) not found. Please check your installation!
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.

!!! This ebuild is from an overlay: '/usr/portage'

thanks in advance,
